Indigo Flowers Free Quilt Pattern by Susan McDermott
Indigo Flowers combines an appliqued vase and flowers with blue-and-brown star patchwork in a 33-inch-square quilt. Susan McDermott’s design uses Mary Koval’s Mary’s Favorite Blues fabrics, drawing from both fat eighths and fat quarters. Four modified star blocks join plain squares in the center, which receives the floral applique. Additional star and nine-patch blocks surround that center, and a border of alternating light and blue pieces completes the quilt.
