Quality Iffy

I purchased 2 3-yard cuts. Prewashed each, however, one of the cuts was horrible. I lost about 1/2" on each selvedge edge from fraying. In 65 years of sewing I have never had a piece of fabric fray on the selvedge edge like to that extent. Obviously, there is a quality control issue.

First of all - I bought the fabric because it was reduced (I think it was $16-ish) for this cut, so I thought, ok, I'll make that 2 and went on with the purchases I wanted. After I hit send, I realized I didn't get that special price, which really ticked me off. I could have cancelled but I wanted the other items, so I went with it - but BUYERS BEWARE. It's great fabric and I actually needed 6 yards for a project. But I didn't get that nice feeling that I got a great deal but rather the feeling...
