Le Poulet Mini Quilt and Placemats Free Pattern by Bethany Fuller quilt pattern summary
- Cut the center pieces, triangles, border strips and basket-block patches for the mini quilt and four placemats.
- Piece the half-square triangle units, join them with cream squares and rectangles, and assemble the basket blocks.
- Set twelve basket blocks on point around the bordered mini-quilt center, add the cornerstones and outer border, then quilt and bind.
- Add setting triangles and rectangles around each remaining basket block, border three sides of each placemat center, and join its basket section.
- Sew each placemat front and backing right sides together with a turning opening, turn and press, then topstitch the edges and stitch in the ditch.
