Love Birds Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day
Love Birds alternates pieced birds with open and closed envelope blocks, adding small appliquéd hearts to the envelopes. Directional prints are kept upright, and mirrored bird sections create birds facing both ways. Stacey Day designed this intermediate quilt with Love Letters fabrics by Club Hauer. It finishes at 80 1/2 by 92 inches, with ten-inch finished blocks, contrasting sashing, a floral outer border and a printed template for the heart details.
