Make it Modern With 3-Yard Quilts Book by Fran Morgan for Fabric Cafe

Great ideas for quilts our guild can make for our 2023 community project.

If you are looking for quick, easy, and fun quilts to make as gifts - look no further. I think the throw size is perfect for folks in wheel chairs, children's nap blankets, and great for camping when the night gets a little chilly sitting around the fire. Donna & Fran have made the instructions fool proof. Great for beginners, I think these would be a perfect way for kids to start sewing. If you are a skilled quilter, these are no brainers, a few hours and Bam you have a throw Top ready for quilting. I do have to say, I do buy a little extra fabric for binding - I prefer the 2 1/2" binding rather than the economy binding - just my personal preference. I've made dozens of these quilts. I have most of the books - they are all super for doing a quick and beautiful quilt, without the dreaded question "how much fabric do I need to buy?" These really lend themselves to making your own emblishments too - think applique, beading, extra borders if you want a larger throw. Amazing how much fun they are.

I own all the pattern books from Fabric Cafe as I think their patterns are wonderful, their instructions are great!, and my quilts end up looking beautiful with their patterns and fabric choosing instructions.

The book arrived very crumpled. I ordered it with some fabric and I'm guessing it was crumpled in shipping as it was packaged in a soft envelope. I expected Missouri Star to protect book orders better.

Already have fabric to make one quilt in this book. Have made 2 this week from single patterns I have.
