Don't wash these 10" Squares before cutting to size.
Too bad quilt beginners need to learn lessons the hard way. As beautiful as this fabric is, there is a strange smell. It is probably the dyes used to make such lovely patterns. Anyway, I did hand wash all of the 10" squares right away. Then tossed in dryer for about 10 minutes. I didn't think that would be bad. They all shrunk about 1/8". My pattern called for 5" squares.
