Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Meow Town combines a row of four pieced cats with two rows of square-in-a-square blocks and fussy-cut scenic fabric. The cats have individually pieced ears, bodies and tails, including one mirrored cat, and small sashing units separate them. Long strips centered on flowers, grass and houses extend the scene above and below the cat row. Two borders finish the 52-inch by 67-inch quilt, using Cats Around Town fabrics with Spectrum and Nature Study accents.

Meow Town Free Quilt Pattern by Lisa Swenson Ruble quilt pattern summary

  1. Fussy cut the scenic strips and prepare the labeled pieces. Build the square-in-a-square blocks by adding two rounds of triangles around the center squares, then trim as directed.
  2. Piece the cat ears, bodies and tails with the marked-corner method, making the four cats and reversing the Dusty Blue cat. Sew the narrow and wide sashing units.
  3. Join the square-in-a-square blocks into two rows and the cats into their own row. Combine those rows with the scenic and separator strips, then add the inner and outer borders.
  4. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing, baste, and quilt as desired. Bind with Fabric C.
