Midnight Rainforest Batiks Squares

I mixed them with some of my other batiks and made two 'toppers' (65x65) and am enjoying having them in the studio.

Love the colors

I really like the Island Batik fabrics and am planning to make a tranquil triangles quilt with these 10 inch squares. The colors are beautiful.

Colors are so vibrant and rich!

Batiks are my favourite fabrics for both quilting and for garment sewing, and the colours in this collection are totally ME! Once Christmas is over I’ll be ordering some of the yardage in this collection.

I have always been a little skeptical about ordering batiks without seeing them in person by the yard. I like to get a feel for the size of print and if it is in scale with what I want to make from it. But I threw caution to the wind and bought this set just because of the colors. I have many purple (my favorite color) pieces of fabric that I wanted to make into a quilt just for me. The Midnight Rainforest Batiks just fits right into the scheme of things for this quilt. Be sure to hand wash first in cold water as colors run and lay flat to dry.
