Use this for Quilt of Valor

I have made several Quilts of Valor for family and friends. What I do is on the back I use the fabric of the branch of service the veteran served in. I put on the label their name, rank (if possible) their Branch of service, dates of service and if there is any other important information. The last line is "Thank you for your service". I date the quilt. On a couple of have put my name or initials, but that is in very small writing. I used to be able to get this fabric at my local quilt store but they no longer carry it. It is beautiful fabric, the colors are very rich, and it makes a beautiful backing. I have done quilts in Navy, Air Force, Army. They all turn out very nice. The only down side is that the pattern does not run horizontally, it runs vertically and I mistakenly didn't order enough to go that way, so I put a vertical stipe down the center top and bottom (joined 2 pieces without matching patterns) and the label row runs horizontally. I used the left over fabric from the front to do all of this. Each quilt I make is unique to the recipient. I never make the same quilt twice. This fabric is beautiful with bold colors and a good representation of the branch of service it represents. I will definitely keep using it as long as I can get it.
