It really wants to shred while free motion quilting. Using a chrome topstitch needle with limited success.

I've been quilting for 36 years. I have asked for recommendations from so many quilters for a good thread. I've decided that, for me, Missouri Star offers the best. Now it's my go to.

Gives off a lot of lint

It’s decent thread and the color is very nice but it seems to shed quite a bit of lint. I bought it on sale so the price was really good for 3000 yards, but I’m not sure I would buy it again because of the lint it gives off.

My favorite thread for piecing and quilting

Great thread with a caution

My quilting career began two years ago with the imminent arrival of a grandson. I began sewing with a 100% polyester thread that I used making tote bags for my Oncology center. As I worked and learned quilting I decided to try what MSQ recommended and recently bought this cotton thread. I LOVE the look of the stitches and am sold on this thread. My caution is that it creates a LOT of lint in the bobbin area. I take apart and clean after every two bobbins.

No complaints!

I haven't used this one yet but have been using the Missouri Star 50 WT Cotton King spool thread for several years. I am pleased with the thread. I love having the large spools especially for the colors that I use frequently. I will continue the buy them as needed.
