Simply lovely panel quilt

I am putting the Morning Hike Quilt together as a surprise birthday gift for my husband, who saw it in a quilt shop and loved it. It is very easy to do, but I wish the border material was cut along the selvage edge so that the side outer borders did not have to be pieced. It would be so much nicer, although I realize fabric is not normally sold that way.

Love the panel. The only problem I had was I wasn't given enough backing so I had some fabric left over from another project to piece together to fit the topper.I did try both directions but was still short. Otherwise I would have rated 5 stars.
