Night Moves Free Quilt Pattern by Stephanie Sheridan
Night Moves is a 56-by-66-inch quilt designed by Stephanie Sheridan of Stitched Together Studios, featuring The Flannel One by Marcia Derse with Palette Flannel fabrics. Four block variations place pieced side, top and bottom units around center squares. The beginner pattern arranges those blocks in five rows of four, then surrounds them with pieced sashing borders and a wider outer border. Stone fabric is used for the binding that finishes the quilt.

Night Moves Free Quilt Pattern by Stephanie Sheridan quilt pattern summary
- Make the side units by sewing marked squares onto the ends of the rectangles. Trim and press the corners, checking the orientation for each fabric combination.
- Add squares to the ends of selected side units to make the top and bottom units. Sew the units around each center square to assemble the four block variations.
- Arrange the blocks in five rows of four, following the quilt diagram. Sew the blocks into rows, then join the rows to complete the center of the top.
- Piece the sashing borders from squares and rectangles. Attach the side borders before the top and bottom, checking placement and rotation, then add the outer-border strips.
- Layer the quilt top with batting and backing, baste and quilt as desired. Bind the finished edges with strips cut from the Stone fabric.
