Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Oh Oh Olivia! combines a patchwork center with fussy-cut circles, narrow purple frames and two different pieced borders. Jean Ann Wright’s quilt features Rosemarie Lavin’s Olivia collection and finishes at 60 by 72 inches. Circles are fused and buttonhole-stitched over both the center and the larger-square border, with some overlapping the border edge. A smaller checkerboard section separates the two areas, and brown print fabric forms the outer frame.

Oh Oh Olivia! Free Quilt Pattern by Jean Ann Wright quilt pattern summary

  1. Cut the print squares, strips and fussy-cut circles. Sew the center squares into rows, fuse the circles in place and secure them with brown buttonhole stitching.
  2. Attach the first purple frame. Pair the narrow print strips, crosscut their strip sets and join them into the checkerboard border, then add the second purple frame.
  3. Piece the larger-square borders and applique circles over them, allowing the specified overlaps. Attach these borders, the final purple frame and the brown outer borders.
  4. Layer the top with batting and backing and quilt with beige thread. Fold the joined binding lengthwise, sew it to the quilt and stitch the folded edge to the back.
