Original Gypsy Gripper (Lavender) by The Gypsy Quilter

I was skeptical but took a chance, and I’m sorry that I didn’t find this product 10 years ago! It’s amazing. I have arthritis and weakness in my hands. When I’m cutting WOF pieces, my ruler often slides, creating uneven pieces. Now I use the Gypsy Gripper on one end of my 24” ruler and a gallon jug of water on the other end, and now I’m guaranteed straight and accurate cuts.

Ok, when I trim the fabric first to get a straight edge and then would have to rotate it to cut with my right hand, what a pain. This Gypsy grip lets me keep the fabric in place and I can cut left handed as well. That's a real plus. Highly recommend. I of course prefer cutting with my right hand, and even so, it's nice to have that firm grip so my ruler doesn't slip.

This has been the best purchase I have made almost since I started quilting 27 years ago. It is hard to hold a ruler still when you are cutting and the longer the ruler, the harder it is. The gripper made it possible for me to cut with a long ruler that stretched the length of my cutting mat without it moving at all. WOW!!!

This product is great because as you hold the ruler in place the gripper distributes the pressure across the ruler evenly to prevent slipping. The gripper is also very easy to get on and off as you change between rulers. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND getting one!

Wish I’d purchased this years ago! It makes rotary cutting infinitely easier and safer. No more slipping rulers. Can’t recommend it enough!!

LOVE this gripper. I had purchased a gripper at a quilt fare previously and was very disappointed. No matter how I tried to apply it to various rulers, it would not stick and merely messed up my cuts. I watched the gals at "Quilt Town" MSQC use this one and decided to give it a try. AMAZING! It sticks securely to my ruler and holds my fabric tight for a PERFECT cut every time!

I agree with other reviewers. This is not worth the money. It loses suction in a few minutes and that's not helpful. Would not recommend.

This gripper was purchased after a recent rotary cutter accident. I feel much more confident cutting fabric with this device. I would recommend this product to anyone who quilts or needs to cut fabric safely.

This gripper attaches to my rulers with suction cups and is fantastic because it keeps my fingers away from the blade of my rotary cutter. It holds my ruler firmly so my cuts are accurate and I can transfer it from one ruler to another. Rotary cutter cuts on fingers are nasty (speaking from experience) and this gripper goes a long way toward eliminated those dangerous injuries!

I didn't realize what a difference this tool would make. I'm bad about moving my ruler when I cut fabric due to severe arthritis. Between the weight of gripper tool, and having an actual handle to hold on-to, I have more control of ruler. No more trying to spread fingers, or putting finger on outside edge of ruler, to hold it down. Someone suggested a 3 or 5 lb weight, but I think I'm going to stick with the gripper. Thanks MSQC!
