Pennsylvania Scherenschnitte Free Quilt Pattern by Jill Reid
Pennsylvania Scherenschnitte combines a fused center medallion with pieced blocks in a 56-inch square quilt. Jill Reid's design uses Lancaster Heritage fabrics and draws its center motif from paper-cut applique. Eight Shoo Fly blocks and eight sawtooth stars join fourteen solid blocks around the medallion. A narrow inner frame separates the center from the patchwork, while large striped panels across the top and bottom complete the arrangement before the quilt is layered, quilted and bound.
