Too heavy for quilting

This fabric is too heavy and rigid for typical quilting projects. Also the flowers are more a light cream color than white and the print feels a bit "rubbery". Purchased to make a summer top since it was described as having a linen quality. Will prewash before using hoping the material softens up. Otherwise will likely only work for bag or pouch type projects.
