Rocky Coast Wholecloth Free Quilt Pattern by Windham Fabrics quilt pattern summary

  1. Fussy-cut the cheater-cloth center using the cutting diagram. Leave the specified seam allowance beyond the outside printed blocks on all sides of the center.
  2. Join the inner-border strips, measure the center's length and cut the side borders to fit. Sew them on, then measure across the enlarged center and add the top and bottom borders.
  3. Join the outer-border strips and repeat the measuring process. Attach the side strips first, then measure for and sew the top and bottom strips to complete the quilt top.
  4. Layer the top with batting and backing, then baste and quilt as desired. Bind the edges using the Phthalo fabric also used for the outer border.
