Roseland Free Quilt Pattern by Betty New
Roseland combines foundation-pieced square-in-a-square blocks with cut fabric squares in an 86½-inch square quilt. Sixteen blocks use one plaid-and-triangle combination and twenty-eight use another, arranged among floral, medallion, stripe, and tone-on-tone fabrics from the Berkshire Flannel collection. Fifteen horizontal rows form the center, followed by green and tan floral borders. The pattern provides the actual-size foundation and assumes familiarity with paper piecing before the top is layered, quilted, and bound.
