Ruffle Pillow Free Pattern by Anna Griffin - Free Quilt Pattern
Ruffle Pillow combines a floral-print center with a gathered aqua ruffle and teal mitered borders in a 24-inch-square pillow. Anna Griffin’s design places twisted cord trim next to the center and covered welting around the outside edge. A small fussy-cut label adds detail to one corner. Quilting follows the floral spray and feather designs on the front, while the back receives crosshatching before the pillow form is enclosed and the opening sewn by hand.

- Cut the pillow pieces and sew the twisted cord trim around the center square. Join and gather the ruffle strip, then stitch it beside the cord with a zipper or cording foot.
- Attach the teal borders with mitered corners and sew the fussy-cut label to the center. Layer with batting and quilt the center and borders following their printed designs.
- Cover the cotton cording with the joined narrow fabric strips. Pin and sew this welting around the pillow front, then crosshatch the back.
- Place the front and back right sides together and sew around them, leaving the specified opening. Insert the pillow form and hand-stitch the opening closed.
