It's been said before that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication and there's nothing more satisfying than sewing up a classic Simple Log Cabin quilt. Starting from the center, a red block representing the hearth, the log cabin is built strip by strip, like logs. It's so much fun to put together and all you need is one roll of your favorite 2 1/2" print strips. Add a lovely curved border for extra appeal and enjoy the simple things in life.

Finished size: 63 1/2" x 63 1/2"

Fun log cabin

Love the simplicity of the pattern. This will be my first log cabin quilt . So far I only have 4 blocks but I just started and haven't quite got the strips where I want them on the 2 that aren't sewn together yet.

Log cabin

A good reference to double check the log cabins back and forth in lights darks and size changes. I used along with tutorial to be a backup when I managed to " confuse myself".
