Simply Baby Free Quilt Pattern by Janet Houts quilt pattern summary
- Fussy-cut the animal blocks and frame them with narrow strips. Piece the triangle units and arrange them around center squares to make the five star blocks.
- Alternate the star and animal blocks in the center layout. Join the blocks in rows and sew the rows together.
- Piece the alternating squares for each border and add the adjoining fabric strips. Attach the remaining animal blocks to the border corners and complete the quilt top.
- Layer the top, batting and backing, and quilt them together. Fold and press the binding strips, sew them to the front, then turn the folded edge to the back and stitch it in place.
