Stonehenge - Solstice Ombre Graphite 108" Wide Backing

I selected this as a backing fabric because I was having MSQC machine quilt my twin size quilt and I had not bought enough of the “original” backing fabric. Imagine my delight when the quilt came back with this beautiful ombré effect on the back! I could not be more pleased, especially when this bailed me out of a miscalculation that I made!

This Wide gray fabric is satisfactory as a backing but I would not use it as a source of front fabric pieces because the gray color is quite intense on the sides of the fabric near to the selvedges and the color fades toward the middle of the fabric. That was not apparent from the online picture. Additionally, there was a 10-12 inch long defect along the fabric. I liked it but would have preferred less contrast from the dark and light sections. I would have loved to select a grey with more of a pattern. I have purchased something like that in the past from you.

I am absolutely in love with this fabric. It has a great hand and is very easy to work with! Beautiful shading. I will buy again in other colors.

Love the outstanding quality of this fabric. It goes so well with my Stonehenge jelly rolls.

Loved the shades of gray to black. Perfect for a black and white queen size quilt. Wish I could figure out how to add a picture. Lol
