- Cut the center square, fussy-cut corner squares, and labeled strips. Sew the pink and chocolate strip sets, subcut them, and arrange the sections around the center.
- Trace the muffin pieces in reverse onto fusible material. Fuse the shapes to the chosen fabrics, cut them out, and attach and stitch the appliqué to the center.
- Attach the inner border and prepare the three-strip outer border sets. Make the four-patch corner units, join them to the corner squares, and assemble the remaining borders.
- Layer the topper with batting and backing and quilt by hand or machine, or tie it. Sew the binding strips together, bind the edges, and add a label.
