Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

The 5-6-7 Tote combines three fabric bands with a lined interior and divided pockets. Debby Kratovil's design uses Mambo prints by Rosemarie Lavin and finishes 16 inches wide by 15 inches high. Heavy fusible interfacing reinforces the bag fabric, while a Timtex insert supports the boxed bottom. Matching fabric handles extend from the top band. The interior pocket panels are stitched into separate compartments before the lining and exterior are joined.

The 5-6-7 Tote Free Pattern by Debby Kratovil quilt pattern summary

  1. Cut the three fabric bands and handle pieces. Sew the bands together, apply the heavy fusible interfacing to the bag front, and make the interfaced handles.
  2. Make the two pocket panels and position them on the lining. Stitch the dividing lines to create the interior compartments before sewing the lining seams.
  3. Sew the exterior and lining side seams. Join the bag layers at the top with the handles positioned between them, then turn right side out and topstitch the edge.
  4. Sew the lining and exterior bottom edges together, finish the raw seam, and stitch the boxed corners. Place the Timtex rectangle inside the bag to cover the bottom seam.
