It was a basic, straightforward pattern. I wanted something I could make with quilted fabric coordinating linings with the outer fabrics for a distinctly personal fit. I quilt the outer and lining at the same time, then cut the pattern from the quilted fabrics, so each is unique. I hope to sell it at my holiday Open House in my home this fall.

Excited for my new coat pattern

I saw the display in the main store and I was able to talk my husband into letting me get it. It is so beautiful, and I plan to make it to wear to QuiltCon 2027 in my home state of Atlanta, GA. I am so excited! I really want it to be reversible, and I want it to have a reversible hood, but I have to figure out how to do that. I haven’t even had a chance to get the coat pattern out of the package and read it yet because I have been so busy!
