Truffle Kerfuffle Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day
Truffle Kerfuffle alternates print-centered blocks with framed pink squares in an on-point arrangement. Stacey Day designed this advanced-beginner quilt with Forage fabrics by Martha Negley. Pale triangles surround the larger mushroom-print squares, while green strips frame the alternate blocks and the shaped edge pieces. Thirty print-centered blocks and twenty framed blocks are joined with the side and corner units. The finished quilt measures 70 3/4 by 84 7/8 inches, with ten-inch finished blocks and matching green binding.

Truffle Kerfuffle Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary
- Cut the large print squares, background triangles and framing strips. Keep the side-setting and corner pieces labeled for their separate block groups.
- Sew pale triangles around the print squares to make thirty A blocks. Frame the pink squares with green strips to make twenty B blocks.
- Piece the side and corner blocks, trimming their strip ends even with the triangles. Arrange all four block groups in diagonal rows, then sew the rows and remaining corners together.
- Join the binding strips, layer and quilt, and trim the extra layers. Attach the binding with mitered corners and hand stitch the folded edge to the back.
