Sew a simple heart block in two sizes and arrange them for a stunning effect. Pick up 1 package of 10” print squares (like XOXO by Heatherlee Chan for Clothworks) as well as 4 1/4 yards of background fabric, plus 3/4 yard for binding. Sew lovely!

This is an amazing pattern. It’s really good for the scraps you seem to be drowning in because the hearts can be any shade or color you want. Easy to follow but still need to pay attention or you’ll find yourself ripping out a lot. I added a border and forgot to figure the new backing size needed.

Watched the tutorial and really liked the Heart Confetti quilt created. I purchased some bright Summer prints to use to make a happy Summer quilt. I looked at the pattern, did the math and thought it would work using 3 lovely charm packs. (The fabrics I picked were not available in a layer cake.) The big hearts will use 4 charms instead of 2 half layers and I purchased a little extra yardage for binding to use for some big hearts as well.
