Pinwheel Quilt Patterns

The pinwheel is four half-square triangles spun around a center point, and it is one of the fastest blocks in quilting once you learn to sew triangles in pairs. Scale it big for a quick throw or small for a busy, scrappy top — either way it reads as movement. Great second project after a nine patch.
