Calico cats have fur that's a fabulous mix of three colors or more and this quilt is also filled with color! The design takes a simple patchwork cat block and adds a line of flying geese in a spectrum of hues for even more fun. These calicoes are anything but ordinary! To begin you'll need three packages of 5" print squares, two yards of background fabric, and just over a yard for the border. It's pawsitively simple to create!

Finished size: 68" x 75"

Playful Cats

I was happy to get this pattern on sale. I love the flying geese and the colorful possibilities with this pattern. It works with 5 inch fabric squares, and making fewer blocks will make a smaller quilt.

Calico cats

I enjoyed most of the making of this quilt, but found the instructions/ cutting for the flying geese segments did not work, which made that part tricky. I had to cut larger oieces and find a different way of assembling these.
