Do half-square triangles make your heart happy? Piece together a set of cheerful pinwheels surrounded by an array of half-squares triangles that form a unique design. When you're finished, add even more of what you love with a set of appliquéd hexagon flowers smack dab in the center. Before you start sewing, gather up 1 package each of 10" print squares and 10" background squares plus a couple yards for the borders. Stitch it up and find your happy place!

    Happy Hearts pattern review

    Very nice pattern. I used Riley Blake’s Hello Spring layer cakes and white layer cakes and it turned out great. I would also suggest that the actual finished block sizes should be listed. I figured it out but it could be confusing. Also it does take some concentration to make sure all the half squares are lined up correctly and the seams are matched so it is not exactly a beginner quilt. I am pretty experienced so I had fun making it!

    This will be a gift for a friend going through a health issue. I love the clever way the hearts appear!

    The pattern directions are unclear often requiring interpretation. Each portion of the piecing & sewing instructions could be simplified with bullet points with more concise language. I had to perform the task - followed by a modification.
