Difficult to design

The cutting and making of the half square triangles is very easy but the designing of the pieces is too difficult even with pdf included.

I had issues but …,

The problems were due to my not keeping the half square triangles sizes separated. I loved the pattern and although I messed up the quilt ended up great. I will make it again but not during the Xmas rush.

I've long enjoyed the tutorials on YouTube. This is the first pattern I've downloaded. Instructions were clear. I added a few embellishments to help infuse some scrap fabric from my late mother's staff. . The finished product looked great. And the recipient was so pleased.

The Carpenters Star pattern is an easy pattern to follow and sews up beautifully. It is very quick to sew and because of the large blocks it showcases the gorgeous fabrics I used. Definitely a five star pattern.
