The Moon and Star quilt will put you over the moon and leave you with stars in your eyes! This Missouri Star pattern starts with one bundle of 10” print squares, which are used to make the sashing and the circular moons inside each of the eight-pointed stars. When the 16” finished squares are assembled, you’ll have a 78” x 78” quilt! For ease of construction, pick up an EZ Circle Cut Ruler for EZ Quilting and a Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer A.

Finished size: 78" x 78".
Pattern for 10" squares and yardage.

Moon & Star Pattern

The design has a major flaw! The center dimensions are in error. The design calls for a 8 ½” square. It needs to be 8” x 8” square. I used a 4 ½” sq. Die cutter to make the ½ square triangles, verified with 4 ½” square designed to assist creating the ½ square triangles . Two sewn together come are exactly 8” and thus fit the center 8” square sides.

This caused a lot of trial and error to correct! Being relatively new to quilting I was not expecting an error of this magnitude!!!!!
