The pieced Surprise Square in a Square quilt has the look of squares set on point, but it’s surprisingly easy! With the help of precut 10” print squares, you can make a quilt with a finished size of 67” x 67”. Sample quilt made with fabrics from the Blossom Lane collection by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake Designs.

    Not quite what I expected

    The pattern makes some assumptions, although the video tutorial clarifies everything. I was especially unhappy about the extent to which the points were cut off on the squares.
