Tool is like having extra hands
The Fabric tube maker is definitely worth purchasing for making jellyroll rugs. The larger pair of pieces first folds your fabric and batting edges towards the center and the second smaller pair fold the resultant outer folded edges together so you can sew the folded edges together as the first main step in making the “fabric rope.” these tools eliminate the need for manually folding everything and/or using clips to hold a section of the tube/fabric rope as you sew. You can spend more time ensuring the folded edges aligned atop each other as you sew and scoot the tools down the fabric doing all the folding of the strips for you. It’s significantly faster than manually folding every inch of a huge jelly roll sewn together.
