Nana Mae VI Favorites 10" Squares

I bought these on the Daily Deal to make my 19 year old granddaughter, who loves small flowers, a quilt. When they arrived I noticed that a few of the squares had animals on them. I pulled those out and made a baby quilt out of them. Still trying to decide how I am going to make her quilt and may check with her to see if she likes these. If not that means I get to make more baby quilts. Have yellow border on the quilt below. So much fun

Fabric was so easy to work with. Used it with a MSQ pattern

My Mom's name was Mae, so I couldn't resist buying this layer cake, and I really like the brightness of the pastels in these fabrics. Much more cheerful than some other 30's fabrics I've seen. So I decided to make a new summer quilt for my bed. I'm using a Pat Spath pattern from her "Nickle Quilts" book. I've got 4 of 6 rows done so far. And I really love it! ❤️

I liked this liked this line as soon as I saw it. I have a pattern in mind that my sister sent me and I went "That's the one for this line ". I also used the solids that were compatible with the line. I like to use solids to help break up the fabric patterns so that quilt doesn't look like one type of print looks massive and confusing to the eye. But that's my outlook on making a quilt. LH.
