The Double Wide Dresden Book

There are a lot of quilts that I found I want to do. I love doing dresden quilts. The project below was done mostly by hand for a dear dear friend.

So glad I got this one. I love several of the projects and methods. The lady bugs are adorable. A great way to sie up scraps and with finished edges.

I can’t wait to use this book to make double wide Dresden pieces. Lots of patterns in book.

I like the many varried things you can do with the tool. My favorite is the dragon fly.

So far I like the book. But . . . .I didn't know I needed the ruler(silly me it us a DOUBLE WIDE dresden book). When I get the ruler I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

The book is great. A long time ago I bought the Double Wide Dresden ruler, but not the book. I had been searching for the book for more than a year and never could find it in stock. I even searched for the authors because I followed them but they just closed down or something. I never did find out and was mad that I never bought the book. Fun to look at and choose a new pattern to make. I like that it has templates included. Already made 2 of the patterns! easy to understand directions.

The book looks great but I can't find the doublewide Dresden template/ruler anywhere. It does have a page with the 3 sizes you need but you have to trace them and make a paper/cardboard template. Not ideal for accuracy.

I like the book but am going to increase the quilt size to king. I recommend that all patterns have instructions for the different sizes. I see more patterns doing that. Do to my medical problems I will be working very slowly now.
