Don't walk, dash to your sewing machine to stitch up this lively version of a traditional tumbler quilt. All you have to do is add a daring little stripe through each of the blocks and the overall effect is completely refreshing. To begin you'll need three packages of 5" squares, just over a yard of background fabric, and 3/4 yard for the border to get to the finish line.

Finished size: 44 1/2" x 54 1/2"

Great for experimenting with scraps

I purchased this pattern on a whim and because it was on sale. I recently purchased the tumbler template on sale and wanted some patterns for experimenting with the template and scrap fabric. I hope that the stripe in the same color through the blocks will help to tie together various scrap patterns. I don't have a specific project in mind, just an experiment with a new shape and scrap fabric.
