Wilmington Essentials - Old Glory 10 Karat Gems

The colors were so perfect together and made a wonderful 9 patch border for an America The Beautiful panel that now hangs in our hallway!

I loved the bold, rich colors and the different designs on the fabric. I made a version of Jenny’s 54-40 or Fight Freestyle quilt.

This fabric makes a stunning quilt.

I needed more reds and blues for the petit antique lace quilt I am making. These 10 inch gems fit the bill as they match the reds and blues I was already using. I love the 10 inch squares as they are so easy to manage and to cut. Keep up the great work.

The fabrics are the "Old Glory" version of red/white/blue. The reds are more brick red with fine black line prints. The white is from Windham's caramel line. The blues are an easier choice for buying additional yardage. The 10" squares seem to be cut on the straight of grain-a plus. One of the sets of 2.5" strips I bought recently had all reds cut off grain-which caused a raveling problem, which was an issue since many of the reds were adjacent to the whites.

Beautiful colors! I added an off- white to them and made a Lovely QOV quilt!

Don and daughter-in-law want a patriotic quilt. The off whites are the perfect shade too. I have a few projects to finish first.
