Jenny Doan demonstrates how to make a beautiful Outstanding Stars quilt using 10 inch squares of precut fabric (layer cakes). For this project, she chose the American Gathering Layer Cake by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabric. It's a gorgeous collection in patriotic shades of red, white, and blue. These pretty star blocks are framed with a simple sashing and cornerstones. Watch to the end to catch a glimpse of a second quilt made with solids and no sashing.
