Not up to par with MSQC...

These pins were a huge disappointment. They aren't sharp and wouldn't pin through 2 layers of quilter's cotton. I tried several of them to be sure it wasn't a faulty one or two. It wasn't. I tried different weights of cotton, even just a single layer of batting....it too great effort to get them to pin through it. I am sorely sad they weren't sharp! The weight and head of the pins is super....but they wouldn't pin through anything I tried...and I've been sewing for 60 years, so it isn't like I...

Ouch! These babies are sharp!!! 😃

I love that these are longer than traditional pins, and boy are they sharp! The flat heads are also nice. They do seem like they'd be easy to bend, so I am extra careful with them.

Love them!

It was time to refurbish the pin cushion. Time to get rid of the slightly bent and tweaked pins, and those whose heads were barely hanging on. I do lots of applique and I love flathead pins for the job. It was a great time to restock my pins when theses popped up as a Daily Deal.

Pins are very sharp and great for quilting but they are not heat resistant, as the described. They do melt with the iron touching them.

Disappointed points

I purchased 2 packs of 100 of these pins and was very excited when they arrived. Started using them right away. 2 weeks later I'm packing them up. Several had no point and the sharp points on the stars ends poke your fingertips when you try to put fabric together or remove them from fabric. Time to look for a replacement that doesn't damage your fingers.
