Make Hamilton Your
Missouri Quilt Shop Hop Destination!
A quilting shop hop is a fun event designed for quilters to explore multiple quilt shops within a specific region, typically over a set timeframe like a weekend or a few days. It's like a scavenger hunt for fabric lovers! Each year, Missouri Star participates in the Highway 36 Shop Hop and the All-Missouri Shop Hop.
- The Missouri Highway 36 Quilt Trail offers quilters a delightful annual challenge to visit participating shops and collect patterns, kits, and squares to make a unique quilt each year. You can print out your Quilt Trail passport ahead of time, or pick one up in Penney's when you're in Hamilton.
- Join us this fall for the All Missouri Shop Hop! In addition to having your Passport stamped when you visit each participating shop, you may pick up a free Quilt Block Pattern Card during the event. So, How Does a Quilt Shop Hop Work?
If you're new to the world of quilt shop hops, allow us to give you a brief introduction!
A group of quilt shops in a specific region join forces to organize the shop hop. You'll receive a "passport" or map at the first shop you visit. This will guide you to all the participating shops and typically has space for collecting stamps or stickers at each location. The goal is to visit all the shops on the list within the designated timeframe.
Now for the fun part: each shop will offer something unique that you can only get during the event! This could be a unique fabric, notion, or exclusive quilt shop hop patterns. Many Quilt Shop Hops will feature a quilt project that can be completed using each shop’s unique offering - think of it like a quilty scavenger hunt!
Some shops might host special events during the hop, like trunk shows, demonstrations, or discounts. Once you've visited all the shops and collected your stamps or stickers, you can turn in your passport for a chance to win prizes.
A quilt shop hop is a great way to stay inspired, meet other quilters, and support your local quilt shops and the quilting community. Your quilting adventure awaits!
