Lori Holt says that she is a small town farm girl who grew up playing on tractors and underneath a quilting frame. Her love of sewing, crochet, and embroidery came from her mother and grandmothers, who were her first teachers. She is “drawn to stacks of colorful fabrics, pretty papers, aprons, buttons, embroidery, old dishes, gingham, polka dots, sprinkles, glitter, and all things vintage.” You can see these influences in Lori’s designs.

In addition to running her own company, Bee in My Bonnet, Lori Holt creates a variety of products for Riley Blake Designs.

Let’s start with the fun stuff! Missouri Star carries many Lori Holt notions. We have Lori Holt ric rac in several sizes and colors. Would you like 300 cute little, multicolored Lori Holt buttons? You might be interested in Lori Holt rulers. Missouri Star carries a Circle Ruler Set, the Tall Triangle Ruler, the Cute Cuts Trim-It Ruler in three different sizes, and templates for fussy cutting. If you are going to use cutting rulers and templates, you are going to need a cutting mat to go with it. Lori has a nice 12” x 18” cutting mat. One of Lori’s most clever products is a felted Design Board. This board allows you to lay out your fabric pieces in a variety of ways, helping you decide the best arrangement before you sew them together into a block. Wow! We are just now getting around to talking about Lori Holt fabric! This is a testament to Lori’s creativity as a designer! Her productivity does not slow down when she works on fabric collections. Lori generally produces four fabric collections per year. Lori’s collections generally consist of bright colors with a charming, vintage feel. She often includes a panel for a useful household item such as an apron, tea towels, or hot pads. One panel was printed with four different fat quarters–a clever idea! Missouri Star carries many choices of Lori Holt fabric by the yard as well as many types of precuts.
